SERIALS!!!!!!

I was surfing through the TV yesterday and within a few moments I had to rush for a disprin. Not because I was suddenly unwell but because of the things that I just watched on the idiot box. Whichever channel I was opening there was the same the same thing going on. Collectively I have given a name to them How-To-Kill-Your-Family-And-Get-Rich-With-Plastic-Surgery-In-10-Years.

Its a pity that though "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" ran for 10 years it never once got this idea! Imagine how big a hit it would have been if Chandler and Joey tried plotting to kill the other over a girl, or imagine Monica trying to kill Ross for being the sweetheart of their parent's or even better imagine Phoebe trying to hit on the guys whom Rachel likes making life harder for her! It couldn't have gotten any better than that, could it?

Just open the television now and these kind of serials are fast filling all slots! Every serial will have a scheming plotting woman who will make life harder for the main protagonist. And the main character has only one job throughout. Shedding tears in slow motion. Yeah we do enjoy slo-mo! But really not when it involves dropping of 1 tear per episode or moving of the bullet in the air 3cm per week!

Every where these women with pancakes of make-up will scream their lungs out even if they are grieving or will cock their eyebrows when they manage to kill somebody in the family. I think that they should be given a daily dose of 'Rajshri Production' films regarding family values. And people blames western influences for growing domestic violence! Strange world it sure is!!!

None of these serials have a logical storyline. Gone are the days when people would enjoy watching serials like "Karamchand" or for that matter "F.R.I.E.N.D.S". Now all that they watch is some stupid crap serial dealing with domestic violence. Seeing my family falling prey to it I can thank my lucky stars for not falling a prey to it!
